Getter Love!! - one of my favorites but not English-friendly the most unusual N64 import, it's part dating sim/part board game You could just as well check older topics, but I'll dump some recommendations and comments here too since I've bought a ton more N64 imports over the years:Ħ4 Hanafuda: Tenshi no Yakusoku - solid enough Hanafuda game if you like that sort of thingĦ4 Trump Collection: Alice no Waku Waku Trump World - whole bunch of various card games (that is, the standard deck of hearts/diamonds/spades/clovers that Americans are used to), also solid for what it is, and the Alice in Wonderland theme is cuteīomberman 64 - totally different game from what was named "Bomberman 64" in the US (which is actually Baku Bomberman) a 2D Bomberman with multiple modes of playĬustom Robo & Custom Robo V2 - great Virtual On-style mech combat try the US releases on other systems to see if you'd like theseĭensha de Go! 64 - super demanding but fun train simulator the train controller really adds to the funįushigi no Dungeon: Fuurai no Shiren 2 - Oni Shuurai! Shiren Jyou! - not very English-friendly but if you're familiar with the US releases in the Shiren the Wanderer/Mystery Dungeon series, you could possibly fumble through A lot of games have a small number of very minor changes to graphics and/or audio, though. Beyond that, I'm not aware of any Japanese versions that have significant differences (outside of language) from their US counterparts that make the Japanese versions notably better (or even notably different). If you really like the rumble feature, there are Japan-exclusive versions of Super Mario 64 and Wave Race 64 that add rumble support. I know I said in that other thread Tetris 64, Evangelion, Dezaemon and Rakuga Kids looked decent but what else is there to look at and why? Now what I'm wondering is that going forward with the adapter what are someones options with JP games?Īlso are there games that may have been marginally to greatly changed when brought over to the US where the original uncut release in Japanese is superior enough to bother? ![]() An awesome game I liked on DC and the other was fun on the Wii VC and also 1/2 broken as a rom on an emualtor a decade earlier. The price was $150, but I got it knocked down a 1/3. I stumbled upon a non-game (person sells shoes on ebay almost exclusively) seller who happened to list Bangaioh, Sin & Punishment and an adapter for them to use in a US system. I had mentioned something about being after bigger fish with a smirk in there in relation to this. So i just wanted to know if anyone here has got it working and how they got it to work? And just any advice would be appreciated cause i don't know much about n64 emulation and this is all new to me.This kind of creeped into that other thread of the $20 and under understated N64 game post I made and it got me thinking when it did. But when i try to launch the game on the dolphin core it also just freezes RetroArch, and i haven't found much on that. I've heard that there's an xdelta patch for it but i have not been able to find it and the only pre-patched ROM I've found causes both mupen64plus-next and Parallel 64 cores to freeze.Īfter messing with that for a few hours i found out that the game was officially released in English as Wii ware. htc them, but i couldn't figure out a way to make either work. I then tried to see if i could use the RetroArch/system folder somehow or if i could get the cache of the High-Res textures to get an. ![]() but since that requires me to put files in the root of the emulator and in it's plugin folder and i can't do that with the n64 cores. but the only English patch i can find requires me to not patch the game but i think batch an old plugin(rice) which would allow the for the game to be patched with updated textures and now in English. I've mainly been trying to get the game running in English on n64 emulation. I've spend all day trying to just get sin and punishment running on RetroArch and after a lot of dead ends i wanted to see if anyone here has any experience or advice.
